LoganSquarist Celebrates Five Years with Party, Fundraiser, Auction

For five years, the Logan Squarist has brought the neighborhood together and kept it informed. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, LoganSquarist is holding a party to celebrate the neighborhood and raise money to keep the whole thing going.

LoganSquarist will host its signature event of 2016, the LoganSquarist Modern Fête, starting at 6:30 pm May 26 at the Greenhouse Loft (2545 W. Diversey Ave.). The event will celebrate LoganSquarist’s five-year anniversary and will raise funds for LoganSquarist, an all-volunteer organization, and for the Center for Changing Lives, a job and skills training program for underserved populations.

Tickets for the event are available here and are $25.

The event brings together an all-star cast of Logan Square businesses, from Analogue to Wolfbait, that have donated items for the silent auction. Attendees can bid on donated items from Belly Shack, Bric a Brac, Logan Theatre, Quenchers and dozens of other neighborhood establishments.

Meanwhile, at the fête itself, refreshments will be provided by Revolution Brewing, Off Color Brewing, Katherine Anne Confections, The Logan Theatre (providing theater popcorn) and Essentia Water, with others still being arranged, like wine and a third brewery.

In other words, yes, there’s free beer. Or prepaid beer, at least.

The party will include music from DJ CREE, games, a photobooth, facts about the neighborhood and a live art installation that will offer the opportunity to share your memories and experiences in Logan Square.
