"Masquerade Ball 2017"

The Jennie Goas Silverman Foundation, which raises scholarship money for senior high school students in areas which Jennie taught, as well as awareness for Triple Negative Breast Cancer research, truly pulled out all the stops for their event. The room was aglow with help from sponsors and over a dozen volunteers. Plus, tasty bites were provided by FIG Catering and entertainment by The DJ Firm.

The foundations annual gala, a Masquerade Ball on the last Friday in October, coincides with Breast Cancer awareness month, Jennie's birthday (10/25) and Halloween (her favorite holiday). This year, the Masquerade Ball was able to raise over $53,000. That is no small feat which we are thrilled to have been apart of!

"Through our mission we hope to give back to the community Jennie lived and worked in and continue to fight in her honor to find a cure for triple negative breast cancer."

Recycling Partnership

"I was looking for a place that would inspire creative and innovative thinking for our non-profit strategic planning meeting. As soon as I came across the Greenhouse Loft's pictures online I was sold. Though, as good as the online photos are, the real thing is so much better. It offers beautiful natural light, something that is rarely found in a hotel conference room. The staff were helpful, willing and accommodating. I would recommend it and I would absolutely use the space again if given the opportunity."
-E. Richardson, Funder Liason at Recycling Partnership

We recently had the pleasure of hosting an important meeting, not only to us, but to the city of Chicago. The topic of recycling program expansion was discussed by funding partners, board members and a few invited guests and staff. The focus of the meeting was the creation of a strategic plan for a fast growing organization, Recycling Partnership.

Greenhouse Loft was chosen as the ideal venue with the idea of innovative and creative thinking in mind.  It is key to find a space that offered inspiration. Which is something that most hotel conference rooms lack.

We are ecstatic when we can host such groundbreaking thinkers as these. Since our building proudly practices sorted recycling and composting. We recommend keeping an eye on Recycling Partnership and hope they keep expanding upon their important work.

There is something about natural light that always seems to clear people’s minds and inspire them when they break from their normal environment. Earlier this summer, the law firm Kirkland & Ellis hosted a two-day retreat with day one being Greenhouse Loft. This is what their Business Development Associate Director had to say about the effect of Greenhouse Loft on their meeting and the difference the next day...

"What a difference natural light makes … we had a meeting back at our offices on Thursday, and you could feel the energy deflate from the group.”
-Audra Simel, Kirkland & Ellis

"My email is a flurry this morning with compliments on our event, the beautiful venue, and the great food. What a wonderful day! Thank you for all of your efforts." - M. Foster, Pierre Fabre

In mid-September, Greenhouse Loft had the pleasure of hosting a forum for Pierre Fabre, the second largest independent pharmaceutical group in France. Guests attending the eye-opening symposium were dermatologists, internal medicine physicians, nurses, estheticians, medical assistants, and practice managers who work in a dermatology or medical spa setting.

Pierre Fabre proudly proclaims its mission, "Caring for the human being as a whole". They work towards that goal by "designing and developing innovative solutions that contribute to people's well-being, from health to beauty." To learn more about how they achieve their goals and their ethical practices, click here.

The products being discussed were akin to what we aim to share with any one who visits our space. In a setting as tranquil as Greenhouse Loft, methods of innovation and sustainability are not only discussed, they are practiced.

"Our goal was to educate our customers so they can better recommend products for improved patient outcomes. We most certainly accomplished that yesterday." - M. Foster, Pierre Fabre
